Took a little trip to Colorado over New Years. Hit the snowboard park all day at Loveland. My buddy Scott was kind enough to film me with his new Flip Mino. White stuff on the ground and in the sky sorta washed out the video but its still a good representation of my riding. Wish they had a larger selection of rails but kinda had to hit the same ones over and over. Music is Zack Hexum Remix of 311 Jazz Funk b side.

On March 1st 2012 SSX will be launched in Europe. It’s the revival of not only the SSX series, but a whole franchise. In the past five years no snowboard games have been released AT ALL! We look back at a small part of the history of this very specific genre. This is the week the snowboard game SSX is being revived. Electronic Arts has cleaned its attic, dusted its furniture and decided to revive one of its most memorable extreme sports games ever. The Snowboard Super Cross makes his debut on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It’s been a while since we’ve seen SSX. In 2007 SSX Blur was released on Wii, while SSX On Tour was the last multi platform game. It was released seven years ago. The series peaked on Xbox, Playstation 2 and Gamecube… but for some disappointing reason the snowboard genre vanished. Yet, this is not the first snowboard game for this generation of gaming. When the Xbox 360 was launched in the United States and Europe in 2005 Amped 3 was released. Apparently 2K Games was not impressed with the sales of the game, because that was the last we’ve ever seen from the Amped series as well. Let’s take a quick look at what seven years of development experience can do with a snowboard game. Amped 3 or SSX, which game looks better in your opinion? Let us know in the comments!

A Short video from our ski and snowboarding holiday to Bovec in Slovenia. The Kanin ski resort is joined with Sella Nevea in Italy and gives the unique experience of being able to ski from one country into another. Most of the filming is done using the GoPro Hero Headcam although there are a couple of shots using an iPhone 4s. The video features shots from both the Italian and Slovenian side of the mountain and also from our nights out in the Black Sheep in Bovec.
